March 23, 2021 – Ottawa, Today, President Rebecca Kudloo announced the federal government is providing Pauktuutit with $464,000 in funding to temporarily help urban Inuit organizations address increased food insecurity faced by Inuit in the south, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The funding will be delivered in urban centres by local Inuit organizations who are working hard to ensure Inuit and their families have the food they need during this especially challenging time for many.

This support is accessible to all Inuit who self-identify and are experiencing some level of food insecurity. 

Food security support will be delivered temporarily in the following regions, by local organizations in partnership with Pauktuutit.

If you are NOT in one of the regions listed above and in need of food security support, please contact Pauktuutit directly by sending an email to: 

clund@pauktuutit.ca, by March 31, 2021. 

To receive this food security support directly from Pauktuutut, please include in your email message:

  • Your full name and mailing address.
  • Your preference to receive your voucher via email or regular mail. 
  • The names of all family members in your household, with their ages.
  • Finally, due to the requirements of the funding we must ask you to please confirm that you are Inuk.

This information will be held confidential and secure and only used by Pauktuuit to verify accurate payments.
